I bought LG KC550 with great hopes. It's the most expensive cell phone I've ever had and it seemed to be a catch for a 2 in 1 device for such low price. What I didn't know was that it lacks the most simple daily functions.
1. A 1 page user manual that says how to make a phone call and send a text message. Nothing about installing applications, camera settings, ... . You won't find a manual on their homepage either and that proves what a joke the company is.
2. You are not able to personalize the silence and vibrate profiles.
3. You can't turn off the camera's shutter tone! Imagine how inconvenient it is when you are at weddings, graduation ceremonies, ...
4. The games sounds are still on even if your phone is on the silence mode!
5. If you have more than 70 text messages in your inbox an annoying question pops up every time you are about to send a new text message asking you if it's going to be a MMS or SMS. The only way to get rid of it is to empty your inbox.
6. The image folder loads very slowly even tho I don't have more than 20 pics on a 4 Gig micro sd card.
7. You can't add member to groups unless their numbers are saved on the sim card.
8. The bluetooth doesn't find the kitchen's MAC computer, my brother's old Ericsson phone does!
9. The phone has only 2 themes and they both are black background and white text. Hurts my eyes. You can't install any other theme on the phone.
10. The phone has no screen saver function which makes it boring for me.
11. You won't see missed calls and received text messages on the screen unless you press a button on the phone which means if you are in the class and you are expecting a phone call or text message you'll have to press a button every 2-3 min to get the screen on from it's dark black background.
I can imagine there will be a lot of other miss since I've had this phone only 2 weeks.
To sum it up: the phone has some useless fancy video applications that you never use and lacks the most simple daily functions.
Here's an other reason why you shouldn't buy LG KC550: The display of my cellphone turned yellow all of the sudden and started "jumping" for a few minutes and then the phone just died!!

To sum up: this phone is really good for the money and the camera is amazing. My phone is a smartphone (HTC) which is beaten in some parts by the kc550.
don't you think you should share your solutions?? Mine didn't come with manual.
I just reread ur comment, I don't understand how u can claim these when you don't actually own a LG! :) How can you say my phone is not slow when you don't own one?
I could agree with ur comments if you actually gave us detailed solutions. Why did you buy HTC if you think LG KC550 is so good?
